Hi — I'm Alex Browning, and BrickSmart started at my kitchen table.
Like most of our customers, I grew up on bricks and never grew out of them. What I did grow out of was the price tag — watching sets I'd dreamed about drift further and further from what a normal family could justify. The night I found myself talking my own son out of the set he really wanted, I decided to build the company I wished existed instead.
So here's how we run it. Every set is engineered to the same dimensions and tolerance as the bricks you already own. Every box is opened, counted, and re-sealed by a person on our small team — the same hand-check I did myself for the first thousand orders. And every set gets 5–7 business day shipping from our US warehouse, because waiting a month for a box from overseas is its own kind of heartbreak.
We're not the biggest brick company in the world, and we don't want to be. We want to be the one that means a kid gets the big set this year — and a grown-up builder gets three instead of one. If a box ever isn't good enough for my own shelf, it doesn't go in yours. That's the promise.
