Nobody here will tell you their bricks aren't excellent — we're builders too, and the shelves behind us prove it. The brick was never the problem. The price was. The brick patent expired in the 1970s: at brand price you're paying for the licence, the retail markup and the marketing — not the plastic. We make the same brick, to the same tolerance, and skip the badge.
Build it, display it, love it — or send it back within 30 days for every dollar, no questions asked. The risk is entirely ours.
Why the price looks too good
Nobody explains this on the shelf tag — so here it is, in plain words.
The brick patent expired in the 1970s. Anyone is allowed to make the brick, to the exact same dimensions. That part isn't a secret — it's law.
At $875–$1,100 used — and thousands sealed — you’re paying for everything except the bricks. The licence, the brand, the retail markup, the marketing. The plastic is the cheapest thing in the box.
We make the same brick, to the same tolerance — and skip the badge. Tight clutch, crisp color, fully compatible with every brick you already own.
Then a person on our team opens, counts and re-seals every box. Numbered bags, a clear illustrated guide, and a hand-checked piece count before it ever ships.

Real builds, filmed by real customers.
Screen-free hours, honestly counted:
Numbered bags out, zero sorting — the walker goes first, and six legs come together faster than you’d think.
The dropship. Technic framing through the spine, then the wings and the clamps that take the walker’s weight — this is where you realise how seriously it’s engineered.
Clamp the walker underneath and lift the whole thing. Six pounds, two vehicles, one model — the set Lego never remade, finished and yours.

The BrickSmart Promise
The people behind the boxes
Every set that leaves our warehouse gets opened, counted and re-sealed by a person on my team. I started BrickSmart after one too many $80 boxes with loose bricks and missing pieces — so if a set isn't good enough for my own shelf, it doesn't go in the box.

The spec sheet

Seventeen years and no minifigure-scale version since. Used copies go for a grand. This arrived complete, tight, and the clamp holds the walker rock solid.

Six pounds sounds like a number until you pick it up. He was grinning like a kid. Eight clones, all present, all crisply printed.

You can display them locked together or as separate vehicles, and both look complete on their own. The walker alone would be a decent set.

No sag anywhere, even carrying the walker. Nine hours across a weekend. Docking a star only because the older-style build means fewer clever tricks than a modern set.

Under two thousand pieces but it feels like far more because it’s two vehicles. Bags numbered, guide clear, nothing missing.

Passed on it at retail and watched it become untouchable. Getting the build itself at this price took the sting out entirely.
