That's the whole reason I bought it and it lifts off cleanly, sits flat, goes back on without a fight. The stand holds the whole thing at the right angle. Best-looking ship on the shelf by a mile.
The whole bridge crew, and Spot
You almost never get a cast this complete in one box. Picard, Riker, Data, Worf, Troi, Guinan — all sharply printed, no smudging. They even put the cat in. Worth it for the figures alone honestly.
The shuttlebay is the detail that got me
You keep finding things — the bay actually opens, there are two shuttlepods parked in it, and the plaque on the stand reads like the real dedication plate. Took me fifteen hours and I enjoyed all of them.
The saucer is a long, repetitive stretch
Fair warning: the saucer is hours of wedge plates going down in a spiral, and it's the same motion over and over. I found it relaxing rather than boring, but put something on in the background.

Opened the box, found Picard with the little cup of Earl Grey and grinned like an idiot. Bricks are tight and the hull grey is right rather than washed out. Nothing missing.
Lit, the nacelles are the shot
Added the kit and the blue running down both nacelles is exactly the right colour. Turn the room lights off and it looks like a frame from the show. Great price for what you get.
